Sagem Avionics Inc. announces its partnership with Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. for autopilot flight controls. Bell has selected the SAGEM Trims and SMART servo actuators for future digital auto-pilot applications. The ARH and Bell 429 are the first models to be installed with seven to twelve actuators per aircraft. With the experience of over 10,000 installations of auto-pilot systems and the extremely reliable SAGEM SMART servos, which are developed with the latest generation solid state embedded digital circuitry and brushless motors; it is with no hesitation that Sagem Avionics ensures exceptional performance and on-schedule deliveries of these actuators. While SAGEM autopilots have been available for retrofit in Bell 206B and Bell 407 aircrafts, this is the first time for SAGEM products to be “forward fit” into production of Bell products.
