The ICDS-6 displays information in full graphic formats as well as in alphanumeric text to provide enhanced situational awareness, increased flight safety and efficiency, and a reduced pilot workload.

Depending on the configuration, the ICDS-6 can function as a Multi-Function Display (MFD), Primary Flight Display (PFD), Engine Monitoring System (EMS), Navigation Display (ND), or a combination of those.
